Overview
The project
Healthy Prep Chef is an award-winning healthy meal-preparation and catering business serving customers nationwide.
The eCommerce website required significantly more functionality than a standard online store, because it needed to support recurring subscriptions and configurable meal selections. It was built with WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, WooCommerce Composite Products, a custom theme and custom eCommerce functionality.

Custom operations application
A further internal application was created to improve how the business processes WooCommerce orders and prepares for each week's production run. It was built with Lovable, Git, Cloudflare and the WooCommerce API.
The app retrieves customer orders from WooCommerce, identifies the meals selected for the relevant production period and combines orders to calculate how many of each dish needs to be prepared. That information then helps calculate purchasing requirements for ingredients such as chicken, steak, salads and other meal components.
This replaced a more manual administrative process and saved the client multiple hours of work each week.
