Conversion rate optimisation

Conversion rate optimisation (CRO) means finding where visitors abandon your store and removing the friction that causes it. It suits stores with reasonable traffic but disappointing order numbers, where the problem is the journey rather than the volume of visits.

When this helps

Problems this solves

  • Traffic that browses products but rarely reaches the cart.
  • A checkout that loses people at delivery or payment.
  • Product pages missing the information that decides a purchase.
  • Changes made on opinion, with no measurement either side.

Scope

What's included

Every quote lists the deliverables in writing, so there is no ambiguity about what you receive.

Deliverables

  • Funnel review using your existing analytics, with the data quality assessed first.
  • Journey audit of category, product, cart and checkout steps on mobile and desktop.
  • Prioritised list of friction points, scored by likely impact and effort.
  • An agreed bounded set of changes, implemented on your platform.
  • A measurement plan: what will be tracked, over what period, and what counts as a result.
  • A/B or split-test design where traffic volumes genuinely support testing.

Not included as standard

  • No conversion uplift is promised; implementation and later measurement are separate.
  • Where traffic is too low for valid testing, I say so rather than run a meaningless test.
  • Tracking repair may be needed before any conclusions can be drawn.

Anything here can be added to the scope and priced separately.

Process

How the work runs

  1. Step 1

    Review

Check tracking quality, then examine the funnel and the real journeys.

  2. Step 2

    Prioritise

Agree which friction points are worth fixing now.

  3. Step 3

    Implement

Make the agreed changes on the supported platform.

  4. Step 4

    Measure

Define and run the measurement period, then review honestly.

What I need from you

  • Analytics access and any session-recording or heatmap tools you use.
  • Platform access for implementation.
  • Knowledge of margin and returns, so priorities match commercial reality.

What changes the price

  • Number of journeys and templates in scope.
  • Whether tracking is reliable or needs repair first.
  • Platform flexibility for the changes identified.
  • Whether formal testing is included.
